The Survey
At the very beginning of this journey, I sent out a survey to my classmates as seventh grade president. The survey asked students what supplies they needed for when our school went back to in person learning and we received over 100 responces.
From the results, I decided that I needed to take action to raise money to support students with school supplies.
I am also thankful for one of the teachers at my school, Ms. Rene, who helped me make the first lift of my idea off the ground.
GoFundMe
I decided to fundraise using the platform go fund me. So far, we have been able to raise over $4000!

Here are the slides on the GoFundMe: (This is back when the organization was called School Supplies For All, we did not know the full variety of what our nonprofit would become.)
Purchasing and distributing
We then purchased supplies based off of the survey results. I was able to gather a group of volunteers and we distribute supplies weekly!
Other Endeavors
After witnessing more inequity at my school, I decided to do more. I have additionally been able to support many teachers with supplies and get free menstrual supplies for all of the bathrooms at my school!
